SAVING LUNA
Synopsis

Saving Luna is a tear-jerking and yet amazing documentary. It is about a lone killer whale that faces the challenges and wonders of friendship. He got separated from his pod at birth and since then, he has been constantly dependant on human attention. Luna is not any ordinary whale though, he is more social and loving than most humans! At points, he even becomes a pest because of his attention demanding personality. Living without his pod has forced him to depend on human attention for better or for worse. If he becomes more dependant on humans, it risks a lot of things including his life. If he is around boats regularly, he is bound to get sliced by by a propeller. Some believed that is was better to establish no connection at all between this beautiful animal and themselves. At points, coast guards had to yell at people, "this whale is not a lookable whale, there is a $100,000 fine to look at him." At any point if you are feeling bored, I definitely recommend that you purchase some tickets to Saving Luna.

Review

In my opinion, Saving Luna is a four out of five star documentary. The reason I gave it a four and not a five, is because I think that the
movie could have been more powerful if it were a bit shorter.  It was a bit too sad for my taste but there was a great deal of heart and soul poured into this documentary. I really love some of the camera angles they got, and I think it was superbly edited! I think that the best part of the whole thing, is that the man and woman who made this movie, started out writing a "small time" story. Well it turned out that this "small time" story captivated their lives. Many times, they risked going to prison just because of their feelings towards this amazing creature.

All around, I loved this movie and it really did break my emotional eggshell!
