D.O.P.E.
Who’s in it:
Bruce Logan, Jay Adams, Dennis Martinez, Christian Hosoi

The Basics:
It’s about how skateboarding began. It was in the 70’s and skateboarding was more about speed and how long you could do a manual. As the movie went on, you learned about how skateboarding terribly descended and skateboarders were beginning to get a stereotype of being drug-takers. This movie is geared as an inspirational and a take-action type of movie for drugs to be a big “no-no”. It is filled with amazing archival footage and the world of skateboarding evolves right before your eyes!

The Good News:
Very well put together. It wasn’t a documentary that made you want to fall asleep. Not only got the word out about "no to drugs," but had great skateboarding footage.

The Bad News:
If you don’t want to cry, don’t see this movie. Also, if some scenes scare you or make you flinch, you may need to look away.

The Verdict:
A great movie not only for people that are considering drugs, but also to anybody that wants to see a very inspiring story
