A WALK TO BEAUTIFUL
Directors … Olive Smith & Amy Bucher

A Walk to Beautiful tells the story of women in Ethiopia who suffer from childbirth injuries. They cannot control their bladder and thus smell all the time. They are shunned from their community, and the pain they feel for being without human contact can seem worse than the condition itself.

I thought A Walk to Beautiful was one of the most amazing films I’ve seen in a long time. To start with, the cinematography was outstanding; some of the shots they got were just gorgeous! I also really loved that all the talking was done by the women and that there was no narrator. The soundtrack was a key part of the film; it really brought everything together.

I was really glad I saw this film because it was a story that needed telling and was one that I had known nothing about.

I give this movie a 5.
