THE COUNTERFEITERS (Die Fälscher)
Who’s in It:
Karl Markovics, August Diehl, Devid Striesow…etc.

The Basics:
Salomon Sorowitsch is an outstanding Jewish Counterfeiter. After creating countless passports, English Pound notes, and American Dollars, he is finally found by the feds and is taken to a concentration camp. After months of being whipped, tortured, and much blood being drawn from his very body, he is then taken to the more luxurious side of the camp where he is put to work as a counterfeiter for the Nazi’s. The tortured men that are forced to work endless hours debate on if they should live and continue working for the Nazi’s until the war is over and they get gassed (killed), or, sabotage the camp by stop trying to counterfeit money to try help stop the war and, still, die.

The Good News:
It was intense. I felt cold, was shivering, and was on the edge of my seat for the whole movie. Although there are subtitles, you get so into the film, that it feels like there aren’t any. If you like gore, this is definitely the movie for you.

The Bad News:
The last scene was slightly confusing.

The Verdict:
A great , exciting, intense, emotional, suspenseful, sad, action packed, real-not-ketchup-gore type of movie.

Rating:
If I could, I would rate it a 6 out of 5
