WHEN CLOUDS CLEAR
When Clouds Clear is the story about a mining conflict in Junin, Ecuador. When the government sends miners to go mine copper upstream from Junin, the town turns into mayhem. The debris from the mining, and chemicals that they are using, are running down stream and polluting the water of the Junin people. This story is about their fight against the government, and their outstanding perseverance.

The documentary took place in Ecuador, and the countryside there is so green and beautiful! When they did have a sound track, it was really good; they used a lot of the traditional music of the Junin people. I also liked that the narrator of the film was 14.

I really didn’t like the story. I didn’t think it was a story that really needed telling. I thought that it could have been a good film, but it seemed like they hadn’t spent enough time capturing the emotions of the Junin people. I didn’t feel like they made you a part of the story, so it was hard to stay interested.

All in all it didn’t amaze me, and I don’t recommend it to anyone unless you’re thinking of going to Ecuador.

I gave this movie a 2.5
