FAMILY MEALS

...is about one family who gets together for the first time in a long time. It shows the meals they have together, and you find out about what their childhood was like. It is interesting to listen to them for the first few meals it is interesting to learn their past, but soon it turns into a bit of a broken record as they keep having the same conversations. If you go, sit close to the door, you might want to leave.

The cinematography is ok, but they show people chewing for a good part of the movie. They don’t cut out empty parts of the conversation, they just zoom in on one of the peoples mouths. The conversations are also sometimes hard to understand, because it is all in subtitles, and when they get into arguments, the subtitles go by quickly. The movie becomes confusing at times, especially in the beginning when you have no idea what they are talking about.

All the scenes were the same so the most interesting ones were the first, because you don’t know about their family problems and past. After a few scenes though, everything is the same. The movie is very repetitive and not very well done, I give it a 1 out of 5.
