IT'S BETTER TO JUMP

...is a documentary is about the archaic city of Akka and it’s ancient wall to the ocean. This documentary interviews lots of the native people living in Akka and talking to them about what they think about how Akka is modernizing and undergoing major economic difficulties and social changes. To relax themselves most of the native people jump off of the huge wall into the ocean, this ritual is also a big rites of passage the first time that they jump.

This documentary had lots of beautiful shots of the city from above and the film in general was very good, especially the shoots of the people jumping off the wall into the ocean they got all kinds of angles on that, it was nice variety. There was a lot of native music to the area that they play as background music for the documentary and that really helped place the culture. The way that they captured the color was amazing, the town was not very colorful mostly grey and tan because most of the things there are made of stone and then the contrast of the deep blue ocean was great.

The scene that stands out the most to me, is the scene where is it all shots of people jumping off the wall into the ocean and they are getting every angle possible and beneath the wall are rocks and every other person I thought was going to land on the rocks but none of them did, it was done very well.

I recommend this film to someone interested in Akka because it is mostly about Akka and their government and the development of the town. I rate this film a 2 out of 5 because it was well done but it repeated its selfe a lot and it got boring really fast and it majorly needs an editor, but the filming and the interviews were very well done.
