RADIOMAN

...the movie is about an ex-homeless person who became very popular by riding his bike around sets on the east coast, interviewing the stars and talking to them. He did get some roles-- but not with lines--just a person in the background. Radioman (Craig Castaldo) gained his name by carrying a radio strapped around his shoulders everywhere he goes. The movie is a documentary about how Radioman was poor and lived on the streets and was an alcoholic. He overcame it all and stood back on his feet and started working and getting money and ever since, he hasn’t had one sip of alcohol. While cruising sets, he earned a lot of friendships with famous actors. Everyone loves hanging around Radioman because he is a mini Robin Williams; hilarious and very childlike. Overall, Radioman is about conquering your fears no matter what happens, you can always regain your self-confidence.

In Radioman, the cinematography was on and off. It was great when it was shot on the one on one interview and behind the scenes, but when it was the handheld camera of Radio interviewing people it was o.k. The sound was great, the music, and the feedback from the interviews was well done. On the technical side, it looks like they had a ton of hardcore cameras they were using so it looked professional. The color of the movie was well shot.

My favorite scene from the film was when Radio was packing his hotel fridge with a bunch of new food,he got from the 99 cents store. He was telling everyone item by item. It was really funny because he was talking in a strange voice. Its not that hard to give the standout performance to one person because Radioman is pretty much the only guy that their focusing on for this movie. Radio is a really kind, funny, and warm-hearted guy that likes spreading joy throughout New York with his radio and bike.

Radioman was a hilarious comedy but it also features the challenges people go through in life. I would recommend this movie to people that like comedies and documentaries because its hilarious but it teaches life lessons. 4/5
