RISE OF THE GUARDIANS

When watching the movie, you can notice that there are many funny scenes, emotional scenes, and happy scenes. There are also scenes that just stand out. Every time that all of the characters are with each other, you know that an adventure is coming your way! Not just scenes, but many standout performances by award winning actors. Alec Baldwin was just pure hilarious, they put a new twist on Santa Claus, and made him better than ever!

...directed by Peter Ramsey, gives a refreshing look at our beloved magical characters (Santa Clause, Easter Bunny, Tooth Fairy, Sand Man, and Jack Frost). In the movie, they are not how anybody pictured them. Santa with tattoos, the giant Easter Bunny with an attitude, it’s nice and different. In the beginning, Jack Frost is depressed because no body sees him or believes in him. Then, he gets chosen to be a fellow guardian with Santa, the Easter Bunny, the Tooth Fairy and the Sand Man. At first, he doesn’t want to be a guardian, but then the Boogieman, Pitch, tries to take over the world with darkness and to make children not believe in magic and the guardians. Jack helps the guardians to try to stop Pitch. But Pitch ruins everything! He takes the teeth from the tooth fairy, smashes all the Easter eggs, and kills the Sand Man! All the children stop believing in the Guardians, so they start to fade. Everyone stopped believing, except one, Jaime. Jack Frost comes to Jaime’s window, and sees him really sad, and about to stop believing, but then Jack draws pictures in the Frost on the windows and then Jamie sees Jack! He is so happy! All the guardians congregate and Jaime sees them all and is really excited. Then Pitch comes and tries to defeat them, but they win, and the Sand Man comes back, and it’s a happy ending.

The sound is good and so is the color. The color was very bright and happy. It was a good family movie. It was a 3d movie which was cool but the 3d part wasn’t working. It was all blurry until about the middle of the movie. Then it started working and it was 3d. But otherwise it was good.

One of my favorite scenes was when Jack Frost was by himself after his friends rejected him and then Pitch came and tried to get him on his side, but Jack Frost said no, and then Pitch broke his staff and threw him into a hole. It was a very good scene.

I would give Rise of the Guardians a four out of five (4/5) because it was good and I don’t have anything to complain about it, but it wasn’t amazing. Peter Ramsey did a good job directing it.
