SISTER

...is a film set in switzerland at a luxury ski resort, where a young man named Simon makes his living by stealing skis from the rich tourists staying there over the holidays. He lives with his sister, who is jobless and has a drinking problem. They struggle to survive as Simon pays the bills and takes care of the house. Their lives take a turn when they try to overcome their fears and discover the true meaning of love for one another. Its creative, sad, cold, and heartfelt. A movie that really leaves you guessing.

The movie struggles to keep a clear picture because of the massive fog and snow, but they manage well with there great clear imagery and sparkling colors. The acting is soft and serious. Until the end there is no real meaning of love between the two siblings. I like how that feeling finally comes forth. They portray great emotions and fight together as two siblings would. The sound is sort of quiet, theres not much happening. There world is dull and silent, so its hard to hear them sometimes.

My favorite scene in the entire movie, would be when the siblings realize their true love for one another and they actually start caring. showing that they can be together and take care of eachother. That for me was a great scene and a very amazing performance that stood out to me the most. It was at that point in the movie, I understood what the movie was trying to tell the viewers.

The movie shows some drugs and lots of language that I would not recommend to anyone under the age of 11. Someone that is younger watching this movie would probably be confused and would not understand the acting or portray of emotion. Its a hard film to sit through and not get bored, but if you really look in between the lines there is an inspiring plot for everyone. At my age I did not understand it as well as I could, so I give it a 3 out of 5.
