SISTER

... was one of the most confusing movies I saw at the film festival. The movie was about two siblings living together without their parents near a luxury ski resort in Switzerland. The younger one, a boy, stole from the resort visitors to get things for he and sister. He stole skis, then fixed them up to sell. He sold them to his friends and local kids to get money for necessary things for he and his sister to survive. He and his sister fight a lot and she goes away a few times with a guy for two or three days and the boy has to survive on her own. The movie was all in subtitles and the story didn’t make much sense. The ending was sweet but the movie didn’t really have much of a point.

The cinematography was alright. It wasn’t amazing, it wasn’t terrible. The scenery was quite beautiful because it was set at a very nice luxury ski resort. The brother and sister did a great job acting but it was hard to tell how the siblings felt about each other until the ending scene. I think that this may have been because of the story.

My favorite scene was the last scene in the movie. Not because it was ending, but because this was a very touching moment. This scene was when the siblings finally realize that they love each other. Most of the movie made no sense but this one scene I could understand and it made the movie much better.

Overall, the movie was confusing with some good standout scenes that I enjoyed. The movie did have some swearing so a younger person probably should not see it. I also think that it might have been easier to understand if the movie hadn’t had some parts in another language and some parts in english. It had some very sweet scenes so overall i give it a three out of five.
