STORM SURFERS 3D

...is interesting, entertaining, and exciting. It focuses on two men, Tom Carroll and Ross Clarke-Jones in their journey to surf the biggest wave in the world. The guys are hilarious and very entertaining and the 3D and surfing are both incredible. The movie keeps you on the edge of your seat even though I find that documentaries can be quite boring. The waves that they are surfing are gigantic. The two guys have a friend who predicts where the biggest swells will be and exactly when they will happen. The waves are so big and often in the middle of the ocean, so the only way to access them is by traveling on a jet-ski to the wave and then surfing it.

The cinematography is incredible. The 3D adds so much depth and makes the movie much more exciting. The movie was filmed with a ton of different cameras and very interesting angles. Some were wide shots of the whole wave, some were filmed with Go-pros attached to the front of the surfboard or held by the surfers while they were riding the wave.

Some parts were kind of scary. There were a few times when one of them would disappear under a wave for almost a minute and had to be rescued by a jet-ski. These parts were exciting and made me really nervous. One of the funniest parts was when the two guys and their friend were goofing off and flying a remote control helicopter while using a lighter to smother it in flames while in mid-air.

I really, really liked this movie. I’m not a surfer and I usually don’t like surf movies but this was amazing and I strongly recommend seeing it. I give it a five out of five. It was highly entertaining and very much worth seeing.
