Nebbia by Cirque Eloize

A Whimsical Night at the Lobero

On Saturday, Nike and I attended an enchanting performance of Nebbia by Cirque Eloize. As soon as the lights dimmed, I could tell this performance was going to be unique and original. Following the drawing of the curtains, a curious scene of tutu-adorned people seemed to crowd around a seemingly floating woman ringing floating bells. Through haunting music, the stage slowly and fluidly transformed until only a narrator stood, and he gave the back-story of the fog (which is what "nebbia" means).

Although we might not have understood the meaning of the plot, we definitely fell under the spell of Nebbia. Although all were captivating, a particularly enthralling segment of the show was a scene on trampoline. However, it was out of the ordinary because they had black cloth or paper covering the top and bottom of the stage, creating a flying effect. I could tell about more fascinating snippets from Nebbia, but I encourage you to see it for yourself!
