THE WITNESS
Imagine being a witness of a historical persons death, how would that feel?

The movie, The Witness is a documentary of a priest, Rev. Kyles, that talks about Martin Luther King Jr and what Martin’s life was like. It’s a very moving documentary, and a life changing experience. “The Witness: From the Balcony of Room 306” is a poignant retelling of a crucial turning point in the civil rights movement and a vibrant reminder of Dr. King’s impact on the movement and our nation.” Look at where we are at now with our nation, and think about back then, the world is changing everyday. We our one, we are not a seprate union, blacks and whites, we come together!

In this film, Kyles reflects at length on the events that led up to King's brutal assassination, including King's reasons for visiting Memphis and the terrible events of that final hour. Kyle’s was one of Martins closest friends, and was there for him at any time, from the beginning of his life to the end.

On April 4th, Kyles was having Martin over for dinner at 5. When he arrived at 5 p.m., they chatted for a while and then went outside onto the balcony, and smoked, and talked to all the people standing in front. About 5 minutes have gone by, and then a huge gun shot came soaring out of the sky, and then Martin fell to the ground. This moving, inspiring human being that was once know as a peacemaker is now dead. The film really goes through Martins life in Kyles' perspective.

I would say that this movie is a 4 out of 5. It was an amazing movie, but they jumped around a lot.
