The Basics:
Slumdog Millionaire is about a teenager, Salim, who grew up in the slums in Mumbai. He becomes a contestant on the show “Who Wants To Be A Millionaire”. Salim is asked very vague questions but memories of his past help him. He is arrested under suspicion of cheating but explains the events from his life that helped him answer the questions correctly.
The Good:
I loved this movie. It is by far the best film I’ve seen in the Film Festival so far. The director, Danny Boyle, did an amazing job in depicting the life of a teen growing up in the slums of Mumbai. It was hard to watch but the movie had perfect timing, including humor. I loved it!
The Bad:
The violence can be disturbing.
The Verdict:
Everyone should see this movie.
