WHIZ KIDS
The Basics:
This documentary follows the story of three high school students who have a strong aspiration to become scientists. Each of them creates elaborate projects in order to become one of the forty finalists in the Intel Science Competition, one of the most prestigious of its kind; the winner gets national recognition as well as a $100,000 college scholarship award.

The Good News:
The three kids were brilliant and devoted students, as well as funny. This made the movie interesting because without their comments they would just seem like regular science students. Also, it was fascinating to see how much work really goes into such a project.

The Bad News:
Whiz Kid’s plot was a little bit too slow for the majority of the movie; the contest was the fastest and most interesting part of the movie, but also the shortest.

The Verdict:
I would give Whiz Kids a 3.5 out of 5 and would recommend it to young people who aspire to become scientists.
