The Day After

Hey Guys!!
Today was really cool!! So it started out when we went to Taking Guns from Boys. This movie was really good and even though most of us fell asleep during the presentation, it wasn’t because it was boring but because we were all exhausted. I actually thought that what I did see was really neat. I mean, with a name like Taking Guns from Boys, you’d expect it to be really gory. Inspiring maybe, but gory. It really wasn’t though, there were only a few hard parts, and it was mostly about the country Liberia, finding peace.
Liberia has been at war for 14 years with combatants at the youngest age of 8. Finally, the country declared peace. Mostly, the film was about the disarming of the ex-combatants. It was very encouraging to see former enemies work together as friends when peace was finally found. I did really enjoy the movie and thought it was really interesting. It was a good mix between informative and take–action. The only thing was t hat the narration sounded very simple and unnatural. So I’d give it 4 out of 5!
After that, I went home and worked on homework and stuff, ate dinner, and at 7:05 PM was back at the Metro to see Bella. Bella was simply amazing. You wouldn’t believe how completely true and beautiful it was. It was a film that brought me down to tears, but cheered me back up with its subtle, witty humor. I completely recommend this film to everybody cuz it was so good!! See more about Bella at my Bella review!!
Well after the movie we got a short interview with the main actor Eduardo Verastegui, Financiers Eustice and Sean Wolfington, director Alejandro Gomez, and Leo Severino. We had not had any planned questions to ask, but still it was really neat to here their mission. Check out my Bella!! review to here more.
Well, Tootaloo!!
