PETER & THE WOLF
Who made it:
Directed by Suzie Templeton
Produced by Hugh Welchman

The Basics:
Peter and the Wolf is about a young boy in Russia who seems to not have friends. Outside of his house he has a wall between the yard and the wilderness. Peter wants to break through it, so one day while his father was sleeping he stole the keys to the wall’s door. He goes through the door, followed by a crow and a duck. They all frolic on an icy pond, and at same time Peter’s dad’s cat starts chasing the crow, finally the crow gets in a tree. Suddenly a wolf shows up and everything goes silent. Right before the wolf is going to catch the cat Peter’s dad wakes up and comes to find the door open and Peter in a position, so he pulls Peter back into the yard. Soon after the duck is eaten by the wolf, making Peter upset. Out of anger Peter makes a plan to catch the wolf.

The Good News:
I think that Peter and the Wolf was a very clever film. Little details in the film such as the way the music changed every time the attention was on a different character added to the film’s impression.

The Bad News:
The movie went a little bit slow. I think if the sped it up just a little bit it would be better. I also think that the way they animated it made it so it wasn’t as believable as it could be.

The Verdict:
I thought it was okay, it wouldn’t be one of the first movies I would recommend. I would rate it a 3.
