We're taking a look at films available online, starting with short films that were nominated or won Academy® Awards. Our online source of choice is iTunes--inexpensive, easy, and pretty ubiquitous--not to mention it's from Apple! Check out our growing list by clicking the shadowed headline, above, or here...
After 20 years, the plan that guides the development of Santa Barbara is about to run out. The next plan will start in 2010. We're covering the process of making it, starting with a Community Workshop held by the city on April 23. Run by the Planning Commission, it was designed to get input from citizens of all ages and interests. The Teen Press was the youngest group represented! Check out the interviews with Mayor Marty Blum, Councilmember Helene Schneider, Executive Director of the Community Environmental Council Dave Davis, and Planning Intern Elsa Rodriquez.

We now have input from students at SBMS--check out the new interviews!
