My name is Maika and I am 13 years old. I’m in 8th grade at Santa Barbara Middle School.
I dance at SBJDA, the Montecito School of Ballet and with the Fusion Dance Company, doing jazz, hip-hop, and ballet. Also I ski, play tennis, am learning how to kite board, and am taking an acting class down in LA with Gary Spatz.
I definitely think global warming is a serious issue. What scares me the most about global warming is that the world could change drastically from how we know it now. I first learned about global warming in 6th grade, but I didn’t know how serious it was until joining the SBMS Teen Press. Being a part of the Teen Press, I want to raise awareness to others about what will happen to our world.
