“Wow”… As the lights turn on, only one sound could escape our mouths. “Wow.” We had just exited a state of shock, fear, joy and incredibility. Jason Crigler is one of the most sought-after guitarists in New York City. His life is at its prime: he has a beautiful wife, a thriving career, and a child on the way. Then tragedy strikes. Jason Crigler suffers a brain hemorrhage during one of his concerts. That night at the hospital, the Crigler family tries hard to keep their hopes up. After hours of waiting, the doctor comes with the news nobody likes to hear. If Jason makes it through the night, he will never be the same. Jason’s wife, Monica, repeats the words in her head. “ Everything completely stopped. I forgot all about the pregnancy. I think I left my body. I remember thinking, ‘This cannot be true. I cannot go on without Jason.’”

The Crigler family waits hours, days, weeks, months but Jason knows he isn’t ready to leave this Earth. He still has more obstacles to overcome, more experiences to endure. When Medicare stops supporting Jason, the Crigler’s transform their home into brain stimulating oasis, and immediately, progress begins to build. Now back at home, Jason has the opportunity to continue his life passion, playing the guitar. As Jason’s mental and physical progress increases, so does his family bond. Now with his loving daughter on board and his physical and mental stability approaching normal, Jason continues where he left off, playing concerts with his friends and fans. Jason explains his true loss was missing a year of his life.

I believe this is a perfect film for all ages, and definitely a tear- jerker. Jason Crigler shows so much persistence and courage in the film, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants a film where you really have to think and talk about it when it’s over. Life. Support. Music.

Most definitely a 5 out of 5.
