Bran Nue Dae was was an uplifting, fun story about a young aborigine boy who runs away from his religious boarding school in hope to return home to his family and girl he is in love with. On his way home, he is reunited with a lost relative, takes a visit to the condom tree, and gets stuck on a road with two hippies in training.
This film was one of the best I had seen in the festival this year. It was hilarious and was so light hearted. The characters were so well thought out and well played that it blew me away. I absolutely loved it.
