The Elephant in the Living Room was about a man, Tim Harrison, who rescues and captures exotic pets and finds homes for them. It also followed a man, Terry, who kept two adult African lions which ended up having three cubs. It showed what it's like living with animals like this and how people deal with them. The producer followed Tim as he goes around his daily work and films what he does, like catching a boa constrictor in Florida and trying to find a lost chimpanzee in the chaparral of California. They even go into illegal animal trades and video it with a hidden camera. There was one scene where a five year old boy got a crocodile as a pet, with the father knowing full well it will grow to be 10 feet long and be extremely vicious. At that same trade, they bought an illegal and highly poisonous Gaboon Viper that had been shied from Africa. There are apparently a lot of things like this that happen on a regular basis. In fact, it is estimated that there are more tigers in America than there are in India.

This was a really good film that gave a really great insight to the problems we're having in America. It was quite inspirational and informative, and it made me appreciate Tim's work. The quality of the film was very good and I loved the way it made you feel like you were there with him on one of his calls. This was truly a great movie.
