God Went Surfing with the Devil is the story of three friends trying to get twenty-three surfboards and some surf apparel to surfers in the Gaza strip. It shows daily life in a number of different cities in Israel and in the Gaza. They give an insight to how hard it is to live with bombs dropping around you and how the surfers are coping with it. It gives a day-to-day experience of how normal life is, too. There are many people, surfers mainly, that they follow to see what normal life is for them, and they also go the places where bombs fell.

I thought that if they had cut the time in half, and still said everything that they said before, it would have made it twice as good of a film. It was way too slow for my taste, and I found myself drifting off twice. They had some good stuff to say, but they put so many points in between it that it made you almost miss the points that were important. Despite this film's important story, I would not recommend it to anyone who has a short attention span or anyone who falls asleep easily.

2/5
