GET LOW

Reviewed by Matt

Get Low is a movie about a man named Felix living in the 1930's. Felix is played by Robert Duvall. Felix has been a secluded hermit the last 40 years, and there have been terrible myths and rumors about him throughout the town. Everybody in town dislikes Felix and stays away from him. Felix wants to know these stories and myths before he dies, so he plans to create his own funeral with the funeral home owner (Bill Murray). The movie was hilarious and especially because of Bill Murray. The end of the movie, was not so funny, and more touching. Felix explains to everybody in town about his only true lost love, and her death from a fire that he was in too. He tells his story at his funeral party in a deep, and touching speech.

What made the movie so good was the humor of Bill Murray and the outstanding acting of Robert Duvall. It was a great balance between the two, and Duvall really delivered during the final scenes. Bill Murray at times made people cry with humor, and then in only a matter of minutes, Robert Duvall made people cry by touching the audience.

I would give this movie a 4.5/5. The acting was great and you can tell they put a lot of work into this.
