THE PEOPLE VS. GEORGE LUCAS

Reviewed by Griff

I'm a Star Wars fan. Tons of people are like me, in that, they enjoy these movies too. The People vs. George Lucas tells the story of how one small movie turned the world into a bunch of obsessed film followers. The film consists of fans talking about how this big Star Wars phenomenon got started, and what it has came to be. The film starts with the story of George Lucas as a teenager, working on cars, but slowly develops into the story of Star Wars. Some of the topics in the film were the infamous, "Who shot first?" Jar Jar Binks, and The Star Wars Holiday Special. While at other times, the film talked about all the things we've come to love and remember in the Star Wars triology.
I really enjoyed this film!

Well, I am a Star Wars fan, so the ideas in the film really made sense to me. The film got some great laughs, and I also learned a lot. It's amazing how big this Star Wars phenomena is, and how people get so wrapped up into it. Overall, I thought it was a good film, but I really think all the people who haven't seen Star Wars, (shame on you Mom!) wouldn't "get" this whole movie. I mean, there's content we all understand, like who Princess Leia is, but some of us don't know about Mace Windu (he's a Jedi).

Overall, I'd give it a 4 out of 5, because I really enjoy Star Wars, and this taught me another way to look at this series of films.
