MODERN MASTER AWARD Event

Red carpet for the SBIFF 2012 Modern Master Award, which is to be bestowed on Christopher Plummer, renowned thespian and film actor. The evening is warm, the carpet quiet for the longest time. Then it all happens at once. A sudden rush of filmmakers and actors and/or subjects (are those in documentaries "acting"?), eager to share their work, to encourage participation. And as they pile in and on one another, the star of the evening arrives.

From the big, black vehicle, Christopher Plummer sweeps in. At first striding by the dynamic media journalists, he makes right for the flash photo zone. There is quite the celebration of light. But he is evidently convinced to come back, to work the line, albeit quickly. And Teen Press members Andrew and Grace have the chance for one question each. Here goes...

(Oh, and those sock puppets? They were for writer/director/award presenter Mike Mills, who was/is a graphic designer, who once created an album cover using sock puppets. Didn't get a chance to try it on him. Swept by and didn't come back...)
