LEMMY

Reviewed by Gaby

This movie was a documentary about the famous Lemmy Kilmiester and his life of drugs, women, and rock n' roll. The camera crew followed him everywhere for three years and caught many parts of his personal life that was hidden form the public eye. From being a roady for Jimmy Hendrix to his career launching roll as the basest for Motorhead, he made his living doing what he loves, playing music. We got to see inside his cluttered house, and check out his favorite hangout, The Rainbow. His love for WWII memorabilia shocked most, but the truth was, Lemmy really didn't care. This movie showed the ups and downs of his life, and kept you mezmorized. He stayed cool and stayed himself throughout the entire film; original, cool and pure rock and roll. This movie shows the story of a man that knows what he wants, and gets it his way.

I thought this movie was a hit. Although a it was a bit long, I know what ever criticism people have for the show, Lemmy will care the least. I was intrigued by his strength and knowledge of himself. I thought that this movie was entertaining and definitely not staged or rehearsed. This documentry showed the good, the bad, and the ugly side of Lemmy. Before viewing this movie I thought he was cold and a little mean, but after I felt as though I better understood him, and why he acts the way he does. Although Lemmy is geting up there in age, he definitely doesn't show it. I expect him to be playing rock n' roll till he dies on stage!

Rock on -- 5/5!
