Hey! I'm Alianna, and I am a seventh grader at Santa Barbara Middle School.

I used to go to Santa Barbara Charter School, and I went there for five years. Now that I am at SBMS, I consider it a new beginning for me, and a chance for me to shine. I have a passion for dancing, and I have been doing Ballet for 11 years, and Hip Hop for about a year and a half. l dance five days a week, and thoroughly enjoy it. I sing a lot as well. My aunt is a music teacher, and I sing and play the guitar for performances with her students. We perform in places like the fair, school carnivals, cafes, and other stuff. Another thing I like is animals. My grandma had twenty goats and ten chickens before the Tea Fire, but after she lost all the chickens but one, and fifteen of her goats. She is trying to rebuild the herd, and put the property back together.

I love the ocean, outer space, sunsets, and Salt Spring Island, Canada. I also live for my friends and family. I love hanging out with people, laughing with people, talking to people, and going to parties. I am lucky to have a bunch of cousins that live around here, and more far away. I am also lucky that my family recently welcomed my nephew Arjuna into our family. I can't wait till he is old enough to talk to me.

I wanted to be a part of Teen Press for several reasons. I wanted to learn to interview people better, and I love writing, so it seemed to fit. I have also heard a lot of really great things about Teen Press from other people. Also, my good friend Jackie did Teen Press when she was at Middle School, she loved it. I have always wanted to be part of something like this, and this is the first chance I have had. I am really looking forward to being in Teen Press, learning new skills, and interviewing some really awesome people.
