Yesterday, Sophia and I went down to the opening of the Santa Barbara International Film Festival at the Hotel Santa Barbara. We witnessed the unveiling of the 24th poster “Discover by day, dazzle by night!

Roger Durling presented a speech to the press about last year’s films and the upcoming films this year. On Opening Night there will be a political movie showing called “Nothing but the Truth.” Closing the whole film festival will be a technology film called “The Light Bulb.”

After Roger said his speech, and all the press groups, The Montecito Journal, Santa Barbara Independent, and KJEE finished their last note, we met up with Kim and talked Inauguration stuff. Sophia and I were so caught up talking with Kim that we didn’t realize all the people left, and that we still needed to cover an interview with Roger. When we interviewed Roger, he had a lot to say about the upcoming films and the past films. He said that this year there would be films from Bolivia, Venezuela, Costa Rica and many many more.

It was a great hour and a half at the hotel Santa Barbara, a lot to see this film festival!
